You ever seen the movie Forest Gump? 

The guy had a good heart but was a fucking idiot. He didn’t have a plan and had no idea where he was going. He fought in Vietnam, played Ping-pong competitively, ran across the country. along his journey many precious opportunities came his way, such as the shrimp business that brought him success.

If he had stayed where he was, he would never have had the chance to intertwine with all those opportunities. And when the opportunity hit, he didn’t hesitate to give it a shot and became successful. 

The real hidden lesson of the movie is,

No matter where you’re going, whatever your plan is, as long as you keep moving forward, as long as you’re going somewhere, you will find new paths and doors will open up for you. Just like how Forest Gump never stopped running and finally found what he wanted. If you are too worried about where your heading and stay stationary, no matter what your dreams are, you will never fucking get there. 

A lot of college students like you, are confused on where to go, what to get into. But as long as you’re moving forward, going somewhere, thats all that matters. One day you will end up somewhere you weren’t expecting and thats how I started my own company and got to where I am today.

Very inspiring talk from my boss. As I ponder about the direction of my future.

Start working after graduation? Grad-School? Go back to Taiwan and serve the military? 

I put my worries to ease. Because I know whatever I do,

I’ll be moving forward, going somewhere

and I’ll end up just fine. 

I think its really funny how some people like to post online about how many fucks they don’t give when it actually just reveals their insecurity.

you don’t need to keep posting about it to remind people if you really didn’t give a fuck.

I noticed in today’s society, for some reason, the act of not giving a fuck and not caring is considered “cool” and “swag-ish”

I give a fuck and I care. 

I give a fuck about who I am and who I become.

I give a fuck about my actions and my words. 

I give a fuck about my future and my dreams. 

I think “Jobs, Career and Making bank“ are a lot cooler than 

“Swag, drugs and wasting life”.

all day. everyday.

I fucking hate this word sometimes. 

But if you look at it from a different perspective. 

“You only live once.”

Ask yourself the question, What kind of life do you want to live? 

Life is too short and precious to be hating, judging and holding grudges against anyone. 

Holding grudges is like letting someone live in your head rent free. 

No one is in charge of your happiness but you.

What truly matters in the end is you lived and you loved.

You only live once, so why not live a happy and optimistic one?

This is the song, so powerful, that moved Taiwan’s economy exponentially in the 70’s. This is the song that motivated my parents to work hard when they were my age. 

The song’s called “My future isn’t a Dream”. 

It talks about how everyone is working so hard every minute to achieve the future they want. 

Sometimes, we feel tired, we feel lost, we feel lonely, but we never give up on our dreams.

Everyday, we try to make tomorrow better than yesterday.

Right now, we’re so young, this is the only time we get to dream big and dream wild. 

Thought about it this weekend, there are so much I wanna do.

I want to be an Architect.

I want be a Lego Designer. 

I want to be an Electric Car Engineer

I want to do Community Service for elementary school kids.

I want to be an English Teacher in Asia.

I want to have my own International Clothing Brand.

I want to be a Field Engineer that gets to travel and work abroad 

I want to be an Interior Designer 

I want to be a Translator 

I want to live in San francisco, New York, Tokyo.

I want to be an International businessman 

I want to start my own Company and expand Internationally. 

I want to make a Difference in people’s lives.

Too many dreams, 

In my 20s right now, this is the only time we get to dream about our future and actually have the power to make it come true.

Everyone dreams to be successful, but not everyone wakes up everyday and work hard for it.

I have no time to waste at all. My future isn’t a Dream.

I want to love what I do and do what I love,

That’s my dream and that’s gonna be my future too. 

Won’t give up till I get there.
